Job Description Summary
The MUSC Health Maxillofacial Prosthodontic Division of the Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery bridges medicine and dentistry together in the collaborative arenas of patient care, research and teaching. The Division’s mission is to be the leader in promoting the highest standards of excellence for patients afflicted with head and neck cancer, trauma, and craniofacial defects by improving the quality of life and function of patients through patient care, teaching, and discovery of knowledge. The Maxillofacial Prosthodontic Clinic provides the clinical component of the division with an emphasis on maxillofacial prosthetics, oral oncology, implant prosthetics, and nasoalveolar molding appliances.Entity

Dental assistants are responsible for providing the patient with high quality care by performing a variety of office, laboratory, and patient care duties. This usually entails helping the dentist handle patients, instruments, and supplies during the treatment of the teeth, mouth, and gums. Dental assistants also document patient care and take x-rays.
Additional Job Description
A high school diploma, completion of an ADA accredited dental assisting course and 3 years of dental assisting experience OR a high school diploma and 5 years dental assisting experience.
