ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a motivated and driven Surgical Clinical Coach to join the Education team at St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne.

​Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to);

• Acting as a mentor, preceptor & resource for nursing staff including graduates;

• Promoting professionalism & teamwork;

• Providing expert clinical advice & education;

• Participating in mandatory competency assessment for all learners in education programs;

• Identifying and facilitating in-service education;

• Participating in orientating new staff to the education programs available;

• Facilitating twilight seminars and short courses relevant to needs of clinical area;

ABOUT YOU:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

• Post Graduate qualification in education and/or surgical nursing, or working towards

• A minimum of three years’ experience in acute general surgical nursing

• Recent experience in paediatric nursing an advantage

• Experience supporting a variety of learners including enrolled and registered nurses

• Willingness to provide education support to other wards (medical and surgical) when required
