ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a motivated and driven Surgical Clinical Coach to join the Education team at St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne.
Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to);
Acting as a mentor, preceptor & resource for nursing staff including graduates;
Promoting professionalism & teamwork;
Providing expert clinical advice & education;
Participating in mandatory competency assessment for all learners in education programs;
Identifying and facilitating in-service education;
Participating in orientating new staff to the education programs available;
Facilitating twilight seminars and short courses relevant to needs of clinical area;
ABOUT YOU:
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Post Graduate qualification in education and/or surgical nursing, or working towards
A minimum of three years’ experience in acute general surgical nursing
Recent experience in paediatric nursing an advantage
Experience supporting a variety of learners including enrolled and registered nurses
Willingness to provide education support to other wards (medical and surgical) when required
