Job Description:

We are looking for a special kind of person – a St Vincent’s kind of person. Someone who puts compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do.

As a Cook you’ll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of St Vincent’s Care Services Yennora.

St Vincent's Care Services Yennora (locally known as Rosary Village) is a 141 bed facility located approximately 29km from Sydney's CBD.

This is a part-time opportunity for the right person working Monday-Thursday 0830-1630 (some weekend work may also be available)- please apply if you availability matches in full.

Things that work for us:

• Trade qualification in Commercial cooking (preferred)

• Experience in Hospitality, Aged Care, Hospital environment and/or related field ideal

• High level of customer service skills, attention to detail and excellent communication skills

• Flexibility to manage special dietary requirements and follow directives as per care plan

• Ensure compliance with food safety hygiene standards and maintain a safe environment for residents and staff

• Capacity to work in a multidisciplinary team and willingness to assist wherever needed e.g. cleaning tasks

• Current flu and COVID-19 vaccination and National Police Certificate

• NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role
