COMPLETE Patient Care Orderly - ICU - NSW St Vincent's Private Hospital - Sydney

The role:

We are seeking motivated undergraduate nursing students to undertake the role of Patient Care Orderly (PCO) within the ICU team at St. Vincent's Private Hospital Sydney. This is a casual role to fill Monday to Saturday shifts 0730-1600hrs.
 

This rewarding role will offer you the unique opportunity to work within, and gain exposure to, the Intensive Care environment. All training will be provided to the successful applicant.

You will work under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) or equivalent and will make a positive contribution to patient care through assistance and support to our Registered Nurses

You will be responsible for cleaning, restocking, and assisting with the transporting and manual handling of patients safely in the Intensive Care department and throughout the hospital.

Your skills and experience:

• Currently undertaking undergraduate study in nursing

• Excellent level of customer service and clinical care

• Excellent time management and problem solving skills

• Well-developed interpersonal skills and strong work ethic

• Commitment to continued professional development

• Contribute to positive patient outcomes by ensuring all elements of delegated work is completed accurately and in accordance with St Vincent's policies and procedures

• Ensure patient privacy and dignity is maintained at all times

• High-level computer literacy (desirable)
