Job Description:

Position Title: Men’s Health Program Manager
Employment Type: Maximum Term Full Time - 12 months with possible extension
Hours per week: 38
Position Grade: Health Services Manager 2/Nurse Unit Manager 2/ Allied Health Professional Level 5
Salary: $106,142 to $125,241.00 base per annum / $129,235.88 base per annum/ $126,240 to 129,309 base per annum

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to patients of The St Vincent’s Nelune Men’s Health Centre, a newly established outpatient service within the Kinghorn Cancer Centre with a three-year funding commitment to pilot a new model of prostate and men’s oncology supportive care services.The St Vincent’s Nelune Men’s Health Centre brings together some of Australia’s leading prostate cancer experts, within a single campus, to provide definitive, world-class healthcare. Our experienced team have expertise in urology, radiation oncology, medical oncology, cancer genetics, theranostics, psychology, allied health and nursing. The successful candidate will manage the implementation, evaluation and sustainability phases of the Men’s Health project, maintaining stakeholder engagement and reporting across St Vincent’s campus as well as program benefactors. The role is advertised as either Health Services Manager 2/Nurse Unit Manager 2/Allied Health Professional 5.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic manager who possess a passion for person centred care in an oncology setting. We welcome applications from people with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. Oncology experience or experience in project management would be very beneficial for the role.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2. Relevant tertiary qualifications in either health management or operations management or equivalent similar experience. If applying as a Nurse Unit Manager, you must currently be registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency. If applying as an allied health professional, you must have tertiary qualifications in an allied health discipline and registration with AHPRA/eligible for relevant professional body.

3. Demonstrated leadership skills, self-motivation, analytical skills and the ability to motivate and organise staff to achieve organisational and program outcomes 
4. Proven superior level of communication and interpersonal skills, customer focus with a highly developed ability to maintain collaborative and effective relationships
5.Demonstrated operational, financial, and human resource experience at a middle managerial level
6. Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of clinical governance, risk, patient safety and improvement
7. Proven experience in project management, service planning, development, and evaluation, including the ability to manage and report on projects
8. Demonstrated high level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including competency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint),email and an electronic patient record / referral system such as MOSAIQ
