Full time, fixed term leadership position
Parental leave backfill, 12-month position commencing in December 2023
About the Role
You will have clinical expertise and leadership experience in Public Health and Podiatry. You will lead the strategic and operational direction of the high performing Podiatry and inter-disciplinary High Risk Foot Services and an Administration team, to deliver co-ordinated, best practice service to achieve high quality, patient-centred care. You will have strong knowledge of governance and policy and actively contribute to the Allied Health and Pharmacy leadership team with a commitment to providing excellence in podiatry, high risk foot and administrative services. You will be based at the Fitzroy campus and travel as required to other St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne sites and services. This is a full time parental leave backfill position for 12 months commencing in December 2023. Flexibility for workload and commencement date will be considered for the right candidate.
The classification for this position will range from CV17 - CV20 ($121,186 - $133,530 per annum).
Your contribution
Provide the leadership, management and direction for the Podiatry, High Risk Foot Service and Bolte Building Reception teams, in alignment with the St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) strategic priorities reflective of the Mission and Values of the Sisters of Charity
Ensure occupational health and safety in the workplace for staff and students in compliance with SVHM policies and procedures
Ensure staffing resources are efficiently and effectively allocated by specific recruitment, induction, monitoring, training and staff development
Develop, monitor and review financial and activity budgets
Review and maintain the High Risk Foot Service Centre of Excellence Accreditation with the National Association of Diabetes Centres
Develop, monitor and maintain a high standard of practice for all clinical areas, while incorporating the Mission and Values of SVHM
Current Podiatry AHPRA Registration
Current Victorian Drivers Licence
Post graduate qualification (relevant clinical, research or management area)
Highly developed interpersonal skills, incorporating excellent communication, organisation and negotiation skills
Current national criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About the Departments
The Podiatry Department services multiple sites in acute, sub-acute, residential care, correctional and At Home services. The High Risk Foot Service is accredited as a Centre of Excellence with the National Association of Diabetes Centres and provides inter-disciplinary assessment and management in the acute and At Home services. The Bolte Reception team provide administration to a number of Allied Health and medical programs located in the Bolte Building. We have a strong focus on providing excellent clinical patient care alongside continuous and quality improvement, research and professional development.
