About the Role


As the manager of the Continuing Care Teams and other community-based programs at Hawthorn Clinic, your main responsibility will be to provide effective leadership and management to a multidisciplinary team. This will include meeting all key performance indicators and maintaining exceptional service standards. You will ensure that clinicians follow a strength-based approach when working with consumers and that all aspects of consumer care are met in a timely manner.

  • Provide clinical leadership and management expertise and manage the day-to-day operation of the multidisciplinary community teams and services under the incumbent’s governance.
  • Demonstrate effective, visible leadership and supervision across teams and services by Inspiring individuals and groups to achieve personal, organisational goals.
  • Ensure the community mental health service operates in accordance with all national and state professional and clinical standards and other relevant standards, legislation or guidelines to ensure first class services delivery.



The classification for this position will be YC92 plus an additional over award payment (total salary $134,327 per annum plus super)


Your Contribution

  • Degree in a mental health discipline essential (Registered Nurse Division 1 or 3, Registered Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker) and registered with APHRA or AASW whichever relevant.
  • Post-graduate qualifications in management or health administration or progress toward such qualifications desirable
  • Extensive experience in the delivery of clinical mental health services, especially in the community and preferably in the types of services to be managed with a focus on recovery
  • Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
