ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:
The Health Information Clerk is responsible for ensuring that medical records are available when requested, that the record is sorted, as per Order of Forms and to ensure that each patient has a unique Medical Record Number. The Health Information Clerk contributes to the smooth running of Health Information Services.

ABOUT YOU:
Flexibility to work varying start or finishing times between 7.30am and 5.530pm
Knowledge and experience with computer systems and programs
Previous clerical experience, preferable experience within a Health Information Services or Medical Record Department.
Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Attention to detail.
Ability to develop knowledge and skills associated with processes and procedures, in an environment where fast turnaround of workload is required.
Perform qualitative analysis to identify discrepancies with the medical record.
Possession of a current NSW Driver's Licence desirable.
Duties include (but not limited to)
Assist with retrieval and delivery of records to and from the wards
Sorting and assembling of medical records for scanning
Scanning of medical records
Assist with the processing of requests for records, both on and off-site
Scanning VMO letters
Scanning loose sheets
Assist with problem solving
Assist with other duties as directed by Health Information Manager.
