Job Description:
- Part time permanent position: Fri, Sat, Sun 06:30 - 14:00, 21 hours per week
- Fitzroy location, close to public transport

About the Role
You will actively participate as a member of the cleaning team and ensure the delivery of efficient and responsive cleaning and housekeeping services across the St. Vincent's Hospital Campus. Areas include offices, specialty labs, research units and clinical areas.
- Waste Removal: general waste, clinical and sharps waste, recyclables and confidential waste as per waste management policies. Restocking of bins and sharps containers as necessary
- Floor Maintenance: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, polishing, buffing and steam cleaning floors.
- Detail dusting/damp wiping: all low & high reach areas including fixtures fittings, equipment, vents and walls and sinks
- Bathrooms: including toilets, hand basins, shower rooms/baths and facilities
- General Tidiness: maintain general tidiness of public and all service areas.
Classifications for this position will range between IN18 – IN19 ($47,694 - $52,223 per annum pro rata)
Your Contribution
- Experience in cleaning (preferably in a health care environment)
- Experience in floor care maintenance, including steam cleaning, polishing and buffing (desirable)
- Able to work effectively as part of a team and under minimal supervision
- Current National Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain
