Job Description:

Position Title: Men’s Health Dietitian

Employment Type: Maximum Term - Part Time

Hours per week: 20

Position Grade: Dietitian Level 1/ 2

Salary: $70,944 - $101,211 (pro rata) base salary per annum

Enterprise Agreement: The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations' Professional & Associated Staff Agreement 2022

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the newly established Mens Health Service. St Vincent’s Nelune Men's Health Centre is part of Medical Oncology at St Vincent’s Hospital and the Kinghorn Cancer Centre and will bring together some of Australia’s leading prostate cancer experts, within a single campus, to provide definitive, world-class healthcare. Our experienced team has expertise in urology, radiation oncology, medical oncology, cancer genetics, Theranostics, psychology, allied health and nursing.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Dietitian who possess a passion for person centred care. We welcome applications from people who have clinical experience in nutrition care, education and counselling to support patients from our Men’s Health Centre, their families and/or carers across the continuum of care. And can act as a consultant to the ward based dietitians, medical, nursing, food services and other health professional staff.

Selection Criteria

  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia

  • Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics eligible for membership to Dietitians Association of Australia Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience in evidenced-based nutrition interventions preferably with experience in oncology and/or Men’s Health.

  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development with a minimum of 30 hours of continuing professional development per calendar year

  • Demonstrated experience in quality improvement and/or research activities

  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skill

  • Demonstrated effectiveness in both working collaboratively with other members of the health care team  and also able to work independently

  • Demonstrated competency using computer applications including Foodworks and Microsoft Office.

  • Experience providing telehealth consultations would also be an advantage.
