Job Description:

Position Title: Administration Officer - St Vincent’s Nelune Men's Health Centre
Employment Type: Maximum Term Full Time (up to 12 months)
Hours per week: 38 hours
Position Grade: Administration Officer Level 4 (Year 1-2)
Salary: $69,840.79 - $71,439.54 base salary per annum
Enterprise Agreement: The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations’ Health Employees Agreement 2019

About the role:

The St Vincent’s Nelune Men's Health Centre brings together some of Australia’s leading prostate cancer experts, within a single campus, to provide definitive, world-class healthcare. Our experienced team have expertise in urology, radiation oncology, medical oncology, cancer genetics, theranostics, psychology, allied health and nursing.  We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced administration officer to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to patients attending the centre. The admin officer duties will include:

  • Compiling, coordinating and managing online referrals, clinic bookings (including virtual care) and general correspondence relevant to the St Vincent’s Nelune Men's Health Centre.
  • Organizing meetings for clinicians employed within the St Vincent’s Nelune Men's Health Centre, including room and equipment set up, distribution of material, liaise with attendees, and coordinate catering and travel arrangement if required.
  • Liaising with a broad range of stakeholders including physicians, nursing and allied health staff, and administrators in SVHA facilities, health providers, private sector and academic institutions on a range of matters.
  • Coordinating databases relevant to the St Vincent’s Nelune Men's Health Centre, such as mailing lists, staff lists and contact details.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Administration Officer who possess a passion for person centred care. We welcome applications from people who are experienced in administration/secretarial duties in a healthcare setting and able to provide excellent customer service to patients and administrative support to clinicians. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills. The role is offered on a 12 month maximum contract basis with the possibility of extension.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2. Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organise own work, display time management skills taking into account the impact on others to achieve results to meet deadlines.  

3. Demonstrated ability to use software applications such as Outlook, Mosaiq, my Virtual Care and Excel to complete requirements of the role.

4. A demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks in a high volume work environment under general instruction requiring minimal supervision.  

5. Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to confidently and courteously deal with a variety of people.

6. Ability to work as a member of a team.  

7. Ability to prioritise workload and deal with multiple demands.
