Salary: $66,027.58- $68,085.50 Base per annum

About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Heart Lung Clinic. A vacancy exists for a highly motivated Administration Officer with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly team. The successful applicant(s) will work with multiple stakeholders (internal and external) from a range of disciplines.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Administration Officer who possess a passion for person centred care. We welcome applications from people who are fast learners, have good IT skills, and great communication.

Selection Criteria:

1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.

2. Administrative skills demonstrated by possessing a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent work experience in a healthcare setting.

3. Ability to work effectively as a key member of a multi-disciplinary health team to enable the provision of excellent customer service.

4. Excellent communication skills inclusive of competence in spoken and written English.

5.Ability to deal confidently and courteously with people who may be distressed, people from diverse backgrounds and health care staff from different positions and levels.

6.Demonstrated experience in use of Health Information Systems, including patient administration systems and Medicare billing, word processing, email, databases and preparation and use of spreadsheets

7. Ability to prioritise own workload to meet both position and team requirements.

8. A demonstrated ability to resolve workplace issues or problems by use of problem solving skills.
