We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Governance Officer to join the Clinical Governance team at St Vincent’s Care.  The role is a hybrid model working from home and our Corporate Office at Bowen Hills or at one of our 23 facilities across three states.


Reporting to the Head of Clinical Governance this position will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of consumers within SVCS. In the role you will be required to implement, monitor and improve clinical governance frameworks that empower staff to provide safe effective care and services.  Working as part of a growing team, you will be able to work alongside others whilst mentoring and monitoring their compliance and provide education and guidance in these matters.

  • Efficient coordination of the Clinical Quality and Risk Process

  • Assisting in the development, implementation and coordination of Clinical Quality and Risk frameworks

  • Ensuring robust clinical quality framework is in place across the organisation

  • Ensuring viability of the organisation by mitigating and avoiding clinical risk exposure

Things that work for us:

  • Current AHPRA registration with 5 years previous clinical experience

  • Prior experience, 3 to 5 years, in a Quality and/ or Risk role or assessor role ideally within Aged Care

  • A mature, approachable and confident personality

  • Excellent time management, prioritisation and follow through skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate to varying employee levels within the business

  • Intermediate to advanced competency with Web based and Microsoft Office suite applications

  • The ability to provide superior customer service

  • An adaptable and flexible approach to varying tasks and workloads within the team
