The role:
This rewarding opportunity as a Workplace Health and Safety Business Partner will see you join a dynamic HR team at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Sydney located in Darlinghurst. The WHS Business Partner collaborates with a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure workplace, health and safety practices embed a strong safety culture, encourage positive safety behaviours and support delivery of organisational objectives.

Your skills and experience:

Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for providing advice, support and coaching on all workplace, health and safety related matters. This role will be working at both the strategic level, but also operationally in the implementation of health and safety initiatives and programs across St Vincent’s Private Hospital Sydney. You will have:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety or a related discipline

  • Strong knowledge of contemporary WHS legislation, regulations and Australian standards

  • Experience in driving a safety culture by leading and mentoring teams to develop safety leadership skills and behaviours

  • A great deal of autonomy as well as being able to work collaboratively within a team
