Job Description:

Position Title: Registered Nurse - Rehabilitation Unit

Employment Type: Maximum Term, Full Time (Up to 12 months)

Hours per week: 38 hours

Position Grade: Registered Nurse (Year 1-8)

Salary: $70,049.73 - $98,351.39 base per annum

Enterprise Agreement: The Named NSW (non-declared) Affiliated Health Organisations’ Nurses Agreement 2017

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Rehabilitation Unit. The Registered Nurse is expected to take an interdisciplinary approach in delivering care to patients with neurological conditions, as well as rheumatology, cancer, transplant, LVADs, aged care, orthopedic, and HIV patients. Education and professional development is encouraged by the Nursing Unit Manager. A comprehensive orientation will be given by the Clinical Nurse Educator.

1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.

2. Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.

3. Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team.

4. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.

5. Demonstrated computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system.

6. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.

7. Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse.

8. Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment.
