Job Description:

Position Title: Registered Nurse
Employment Type: Full Time - Maximum Term (up to 12 months)
Hours per week: 38 hours
Position Grade: RN02 - RN08
Salary: $73,848.33 to $98,351.39 base salary per annum
Enterprise Agreement: The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations' Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2017

About the role:

A maternity relief position (up to 12 months) exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Registered Nurse with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centered care. The successful applicant will be expected to be able to work independently in the haemodialysis unit caring for inpatients and outpatients with renal failure.

The Renal Ambulatory care department is made up of acute haemodialysis, satellite dialysis and peritoneal dialysis home training. The unit is also supported by a Renal CNC, Renal Transplant CNC, Peritoneal Dialysis CNC and Renal Supportive Care CNC.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Registered Nurse who possess a passion for person centred care. We welcome applications from people who are experienced in the area of renal nursing and care of patients requiring haemodialysis treatment.

Selection Criteria:

  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.

  • Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency

  • Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team

  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development

  • Demonstrated computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system

  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse

  • Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads with in a complex environment
