As a reflection of our current needs and planned growth we are very pleased to offer a new opportunity to join our dedicated team as a Manager, Local Marketing & Community Engagement.

The Manager, Local Marketing & Community Engagement will identify, create and build lasting awareness and relationships, while driving positive word-of-mouth from community members and organizations and driving increased usage and visits to our urgent care clinics. This role is responsible for partnering with clinic staff and managing an outsourced marketing team to represent our company. This role is responsible for working with all WellNow Urgent Care clinics and with all of our health system partnerships.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Possess a deep understanding of each community per market, to develop clinic-specific engagement plans that reach key influencers, referral sources, and consumers encouraging all to share and interact with the brand.

  • Build brand trust by fostering unique partnerships with local organizations such as athletic groups, churches, clubs, schools, and chambers of commerce.

  • Research and develop an outreach strategy to engage our partnerships, local health providers, and businesses in order to educate groups on our services, staying top of mind through constant contact. Seek referrals through establishing and nurturing relationships in the community and with our health system partners reaching pharmacies, primary care providers, specialists, retail clinics, hotels, schools, universities, health clubs, and other relevant entities.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with our health system partners especially with their primary care physician offices, focusing on collaboration and open communication. Attend health system meetings in order to engage staff with information on WellNow Urgent Care. Clearly express that we are all part of one team.

  • Identify sponsorship opportunities and activations in strategic markets to grow brand presence and drive awareness.

  • Identify/Participate in appropriate community events to expose our brand to consumers. Drive that awareness campaign to reach local consumers at community events such as festivals, expos, health fairs, and races. Educate individuals on our services, while interacting in a fun and engaging manner. Seek consumer evangelism through building strong ties with past patients met at events (Receive Yelp and Google reviews from patients met at events).

  • Leverage clinic leaders and team members assisting each other at promotions, including event participation in lunch-and-learns and learn presentations, and client-facing occ med wellness events.

  • Ability to communicate company information, both one-on-one messaging (individual engagement), and presentations or speaking opportunities (group engagement). Ensure that in-clinic and community marketing are aligned with brand positioning. Support current campaigns and seasonal offerings.

  • Identify social media amplification opportunities as part of promotional engagements to extend reach and scale – in partnership with Organic Social lead. Offer content suggestions for community blog posts, featured on the company website and digital channels.

  • Recruit, train, and manage outsourced marketing resources to participate with or in lieu of clinic staff participation. Ensure all are able to effectively deliver key messages to consumers. Mentor all team members on effective consumer engagement strategies, and share successes and experience from the field.

  • Maintain inventory of promotional equipment, literature, and branded giveaways, making recommendations on types and quantity of giveaways while maintaining equipment, keeping display and promotional items up to standards of cleanliness and attractiveness.

  • Create and manage engagement marketing budget.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, as well as independently.

  • Bachelor's Degree in relatable field.

  • Flexibility and versatility in a fast-paced, growing organization with continual change.

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years of professional work experience or equivalent combination of education, training, expertise.

  • Minimum 3 years experience in event/consumer marketing.

  • Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule, understanding that majority of event duties occur on evenings and weekends, or on an as needed basis.

  • Maintain brand consistent display, paying attention to detail.

Hired individual must be willing to travel up to 70% of the time for business purposes, mostly in the "West" WellNow Urgent Care locations throughout Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin (subject to change). Some travel requires overnight and weekend stays.

Salary: $102,000-120,000/year, DOE, plus up to 10% performance bonus opportunity
