IBP(S&OP)プロセスのリードを行い、Demand Forecasting からsupply planning/ Inventory Planning業務を通じて、製品の安定供給と在庫最適化を通じたFinancialへの貢献を担います。

また、日本並びにリージョンのリーダーシップチームに対して、demandsupplyの観点から、会社のビジネスオペレーションに対するRisk and Opportunity を可視化し、迅速な経営判断をサポートする部門です。

コマーシャル部門、ファイナンス部門、成田工場、リージョンサプライチェーン、薬事、品質部門等、幅広い社内のステークホルダーマネージメントも重要になる部門であり、経営層とのコミュニケーションも多く求められます。

組織としては、日本のサプライチェーン本部(約50人規模)のプランニング部門と位置付けられており、サプライチェーンはリージョンサプライチェーンにレポートしています。

Role & Responsibility

Demand planning is an essential role within Consumer Healthcare Supply Chain Department, in our transformation journey of becoming the best Fast Moving Consumer Healthcare Company in and for the world.

We are looking for a hands-on Demand Planning Manager, able to interact with multiple functions (at affiliate level with the General Manager, Marketing, Sales, Finance Team but also at Global/ Regional level with Supply Chain counterpart and Industrial sites & External manufacturers) and wishing to learn but also improve the current Demand and IBP processes. We consider this role as a first step, before potentially taking larger responsibilities (Demand Lead or Key management role in Supply Chain in near future).

Japan is part of AMEA, a dynamic Region composed of diverse markets (Korea, India, South-East Asia Countries, Australia & New Zealand but also Africa & Middle East etc.).

The Demand Manager will be accountable for leading the Demand Planning process for key brands, by:

  • Challenging/ reviewing forecast assumptions with key stakeholders on a 36 month horizons, including Stock-in-trade, Sell-in & sell-out, during Demand review meetings,
  • Ensuring the right level of inventory for key products,
  • Managing relationships with Plants & External suppliers /Global & Regional Supply chain to build reliable constrained forecast scenarios,
  • Proposing risks & opportunities vs current sales forecasts,
  • Presenting highlights of demand review to local leadership team members for alignment,
  • Leading sales tracking vs forecast and assess service risks for recovery plan with supply manager to share with key stakeholders weekly,
  • Proposing best practices and ways of improvement of current processes.

III – KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS (Minimum requirements for assignment to this job.)

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge

  • FMCG market overview
  • Demand Forecasting in FMCG industry
  • Sell Out/SIT/ Sell In connection.
  • Supply chain overall knowledge

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Project management
  • Transversal management (no direct report) and ability to navigate in complex organization
  • Hands-on
  • Ability to influence with strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Comfortable with learning how to use new tools/ systems,
  • Proficiency in Japanese and English, to be able to interact with Regional/ global stakeholders

Formal Education And/or Experience Required:

  • University degree or knowledge equivalent to it
  • More than 5-10 years’ work experience in supply chain, planning side.
  • Working Experience in forecasting in FMCG industry

Knowledge and Skills Desirable but Not Essential:

  • Demand Planning Tool is a Plus– KINAXIS, APO, Magnetics. etc.
  • Finance and basic accounting knowledge are plus.
  • Manufacturing experience is plus.
