The Assistant General Counsel, US Type 1 Diabetes (“T1D”) will provide legal advice and counsel to internal colleagues at all levels, including executive level leadership. The counseling area of focus shall be the commercial operations for Sanofi’s US T1D Franchise and will support day to day initiatives and long-term strategies. In addition to supporting T1D, the position will also be responsible for overseeing attorneys advising on Sanofi’s other US General Medicines products. This is a broad business lawyering role that focuses primarily on strategic and transactional counseling and contracting.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience counseling global pharmaceutical companies on legal issues relating to marketing and distribution of commercial products, advertising and promotion, scientific exchange, and interactions with health care professionals. Business colleagues expect prompt responses with their requests for legal counsel, and the challenge for this role will be to support the team in prioritizing numerous, and sometimes conflicting, requests for assistance, to delegate as appropriate and to offer excellent service in a timely, thoughtful, and complete manner.  The Assistant General Counsel, US T1D will need to be confident and comfortable with senior decision makers and working independently across Sanofi at multiple levels.
