- Transports patients to their tests and procedures in a safe and timely manner.
- Collaborates with the nursing staff, ancillary departments, the patient, and other health care providers in providing quality patient care.
- Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Completes departmental records and transport forms.
- Meets the department’s standard of 18+ (18-24) runs in an 8 hr. shift.
- Returns equipment to their appropriate locations. (i.e. wheelchairs, stretchers, oxygen tanks).
- Demonstrates safe and appropriate use of equipment.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Provides information and gives updates within specified time intervals.
- Keeps the dispatchers informed of any delays, changing of equipment, etc.
- Appropriately interacts with other departments when giving or receiving patient information.
- Maintains “positive” interactions with co-workers, patients, visitors, and staff.
