Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Head of Business Operations will ensure an intense focus on globally consistent operations, growth of the business, governance, service delivery and support functions.  The role will drive operational excellence and consistency globally by leveraging the JLL platform, technology, and on-business unit resources.

The Senior Director will:

  • Work closely with the Managing Director to lead the Data Center Vertical having direct oversight of all support functions including marketing, communications, sustainability, governance processes, operational excellence, and support functions.
  • Lead the execution of business strategies developed by Global Data Center Board.  The role will focus on the operational details necessary for success today while building towards future goals. 
  • Ensure the right initiatives are undertaken and the benefits are being fully realized throughout the business unit;
  • Ensure continuous improvement programs are identified, implemented and tracked/reported;
  • Champion change and provide the processes, structures, and tools to enable transformation and growth;
  • Manage the governance structure. The role ensures accountability and adherence to organizational governance.
  • Support large-scale projects that incorporate proactive and innovative solutions to address business challenges and achieve organizational goals and objectives. Integrate how the big picture of the initiatives come together from definition through implementation;
  • Support development of clear case for change, desired outcomes, accurate scope, clear roles and decision-making;
  • Give advice and counsel leaders without owning the projects him/herself in order to ensure the steps, tracking and expectations are consistent;
  • Support initiative teams with skills in process excellence, project management, facilitation, problem solving, accelerating transformation and value creation to drive toward required outcomes. Surface capacity, pacing, resourcing issues and any other red flag issues needing leadership attention. Ensure effective stakeholder engagement and communications. Ensure timelines are adhered to for initiatives by keeping leadership team aware of any red flags concerning the timing or integration process;
  • Ensure organizational alignment in the design and execution of initiative efforts;
  • Influence and manage at all levels, from the “leadership team to the boots on the ground” and all layers in between;
  • Direct, teach and coach business line leaders across the globe to deliver consistent services based on identified strategies, and develop the necessary business relationships across business lines and regions; and
  • Understand, develop and apply global strategies to optimize processes and drive consistency across the business unit globally.
