Role Purpose

In this role the Sustainability Program Manager will work on a global team to integrate sustainability into the client’s real estate lifecycle. The Sustainability Program Manager will report to the client’s Director of Sustainability and will be responsible for the implementation of the client’s sustainability initiatives into project design and construction as well as on-going operations to ensure sustainability becomes part of the workplace experience.

What this job involves:

Key responsibilities include:

• Directly responsible for working with a team to deliver challenging sustainability projects related to new construction and existing building operations.
• Interact with clients and vendors to develop collaborative solutions, manage project related documentation, perform research, conduct weekly meetings and develop reports and memos communicating technical details, processes and action items.
• Project delivery and driving client satisfaction through teamwork and relationship development.
• Act as the sustainability lead in project meetings, charrettes and presentations.
• Support team with documentation to achieve green building certifications (such as LEED, WELL, etc.).
• Support client reporting objectives and provide management information relating to the use of utilities and the impact on the internal and external environment.
• Manage the energy, waste, and water data collection process within JLL’s technology platform and produce monthly and quarterly reports that are tailored to meet our clients’ specific requirements.
• Drive operational improvements though the identification and implementation of opportunities to improve energy and sustainability performance across the client’s real estate portfolio.
• Collaborate with other JLL sustainability professionals to share best practices, develop case studies and develop new business opportunities.
• Engage with workplace managers to become the key point of contact for the provision of wide-ranging advice in relation to all aspects of environmental sustainability.

Requirements – Essential

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management is required
• LEED AP accreditation with LEED project management experience
• (1-3) years' experience in real estate sustainability, corporate environmental management and energy efficiency
• (1-3) years of relevant experience related to office and commercial interior project or construction management
• Knowledge of commercial real estate leasing, sustainability and energy management, construction, and architecture
• Technical understanding of the most common HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building automation systems
• In-depth understanding of energy and water conservation measures
• In-depth understanding of Greenhouse Gas Emission (GHG) scopes and reporting

Requirements – Desirable

• Experience with any of the following: WELL, Fitwel, GRESB, ENERGY STAR
• Experienced conducting site walkthroughs in order to find conservation measures (e.g. ASHRAE Level 1 and 2)
• Understanding of materials life-cycle impact reduction measures, building product disclosure and optimization
• Strong time management skills and an ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a high pressure, deadline driven environment
• Familiarity with energy procurement process and renewable energy options
• ESG reporting experience (e.g. CDP, DJSI, etc)

Salary Range

• 70,000.00 - 95,000.00 USD
• The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable

Estimated compensation for this position is:

70,000.00 – 95,000.00 USD

The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable.  The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
