Job Title: Healthcare Facilities Manager

Location: Ontario, CA

Company Overview:

JLL has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Healthcare Facilities Manager to join our team in Ontario, CA. This role is based on a client account in the healthcare industry. The Facility Manager will be responsible for managing the plant operations of one or more hospitals. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in hospital plant operations, utilities, Environment of Care, and Joint Commission standards and compliance.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise and direct maintenance staff and monitor their performance.
  • Perform or direct the performance of all maintenance departmental service requests efficiently and neatly, with minimal disruption.
  • Identify corrective actions required to restore malfunctioning equipment to satisfactory operating condition.
  • Manage departmental staff, including selection, scheduling, and job assignments.
  • Responsible for Environment of Care, Emergency Management, and Life Safety Code compliance.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory surveys, Joint Commission audits, and client-based audits applicable to assigned facility/facilities.
  • Work with the client to schedule equipment maintenance and monitor operations of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Analyze site infrastructure systems, identify root causes of problems, and take corrective action.
  • Provide training and support to expand the capabilities of operations staff. Give hands-on instruction in basic maintenance, safety, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Direct the performance of contracted maintenance.
  • Plan and forecast budgets for operation and maintenance, recommend facility repairs and improvements.
  • Comply with policies and audit standards for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Implement programs to reduce energy and water consumption by 2% at each hospital and track performance.

Qualifications:

  • College degree in a related engineering field, formal apprenticeship program, or technical trade school preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hospital facility management, plant operations, engineering, or maintenance supervision experience.
  • Managerial experience with proven budget and personnel responsibilities. CHFM Certified Healthcare Facility Manager, CPMM Certified Plant Maintenance Manager, CFM Certified Facility Manager, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of Joint Commission Environment of Care standards and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including report writing ability.
  • Special knowledge and skills in HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, welding, and electrical systems engineering and operation.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office, Outlook email, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) experience.
  • Experience with 360 Facility, Maximo, or other CMMS platforms and Building Automation Systems (BAS) such as Siemens' Apogee, Johnson Metasys, or Trane Tracer preferred.

Estimated compensation for this position is:

90,000.00 – 99,000.00 USD

The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
