Job Summary/Goals

Reporting to the Regional Travel Operations Manager, the Global Travel & Events Travel Services Manager provides travel management oversight of all travel program services. Key focus areas for this role include enhancing service delivery, driving project deliverables, promoting compliance to policy, improving processes and procedures for increased efficiency while fostering customer obsession and cost reduction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage Travel Service Delivery for a defined market/business and/or operational focus and ownership as assigned by the Regional Operations Manager
  • Manage the day-to-day Customer queries and triage via SIM-T Service tickets
  • Advise Leadership/Optimization Manager of issues impacting service delivery or quality
  • Assist with implementation/development of new processes or procedures
  • Support integration of new technologies and/or company acquisitions as required
  • Assist in promoting use of the global travel program and adoption of online booking tools
  • Collaborate with Category Managers to optimize supplier performance including supporting RFP’s, preparing analysis and provide recommendations
  • Represent the Global Travel Operations organization as local point of contact or subject matter expert (SME) to further advance global program engagement and utilization.
  • Collaborate with Travel Optimization Manager and Regional Operations Managers to identify opportunities for enhancing service delivery and overall travel program performance.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support local and global teams in all travel related initiatives – including collaborating with other internal organizations which touch the travel service scope i.e. Expense or Card.
  • Promote stakeholder engagement to define business requirements and align services to meet stakeholder needs within existing scope of services.

Customer obsession, improved traveler experience, online booking tool adoption, aligned with all regional and global KPIs

Skills

High customer service orientation with attention to detail; analytical skills, strong vendor relationship and partnership management skills, strategic problem solving, MS (excel, word, ppt); good communication skills (written and verbal) in English

Competencies

  • Experience in Corporate travel management
  • Understanding of travel procurement, RFPs/tenders in multiple categories; ability to analyze travel data reports
  • Familiarity with travel supplier pricing and contracting
  • Innovative thinking and bias for action balanced with a strong customer and quality focus
  • Good relationship building with internal customers and suppliers
  • Utilize professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company

Experience

At least 5 years in corporate travel management (travel management company, hotel, airline)

Qualifications

  • Education: Minimum Diploma
