Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

Cost Estimator Engineer – Aerospace Electronic Systems (d/f/m)

You will join the costing center of competence to provide cost expertise for electronics, electric equipment’s and systems integration. As such you will compute cost evaluations, build cost models and maintain up to date cost references for those disciplines and products.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Collect relevant information for specific cost engineering deliverable (e.g. estimation, cost drivers) in cooperation with the internal field of expertize

• Prepare, challenge, and synthetize required assumptions for the production of cost engineering deliverable

• Perform and provide cost estimates, assess associated risks, identify cost drivers and recommend cost optimization

• Compile, deliver and explain all cost engineering dossiers to internal/external stakeholders and secure their buy in

• Maintain expertise level and develop/capitalize knowledge about his field of expertize via cost analysis, cost models realization, referential improvement, benchmark studies, training and audits

• Manage the costing / pricing activities of Engineering related bids and offers

Desired skills and qualifications

• Engineering degree in the fields of electronics, telecom, industrial engineering or aeronautics

• Experience in the domain of aerospace equipment / systems development

• Good knowledge of electric, electronics system development or in-service technical support

• General avionics, airworthiness and certification process knowledge

• Networks and / or cybersecurity knowledge would be a plus

• Basic knowledge of finance concepts and tools

• Analytical thinking, ability to work autonomously and adaptable to diverse work environments

• Great team player and experienced in international environment

• Advanced English skills (German would be a plus)

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
