COMPLETE System Safety Engineer (m/f/d) - Hamburg Area

We are looking for an experienced Engineer System Safety (m/f/x) with aerospace background to support our safety engineering team in Germany. You will ensure that Airbus products are developed and designed according to the relevant airworthiness regulations and that safety objectives are achieved throughout the whole lifecycle. You are interested in assessing complex functions through Aircrafts and Systems analyses. You are investigating the propagation of potential malfunctions and the resulting repercussions on the aircraft and its occupants and you are defining mitigation means and design precautions.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Generate and review Safety Assessment and Analyses for Aircraft Systems (FHA, pSSA, SSA, Fault Trees, Quantitative and Qualitative Assessments)

• Generate and review Common Cause Analyses such as Particular Risk Analyses, Zonal Safety Analysis and Common Mode Analyses

• Support the System Design Teams and suppliers to ensure the compliance against the safety objectives

• Generate and manage safety-derived requirements through the development life cycle

• Review instructions for Continued Airworthiness to ensure safety compliance of the In-Service fleet

Desired skills and qualifications

• You have a completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or or comparable course of study

• For this position, you bring appropriate knowledge and experience in the above-mentioned areas of responsibility

• You have advanced knowledge and experience in in the field of Safety and Reliability Engineering the aviation industry

• You have advanced knowledge in Aircraft Systems

• Advanced Knowledge of Safety processes, regulations and guidelines (CS/AC 25.1309, ARP 4761, ARP 4754A)

• You are target-oriented with analytic problem-solving skills

• You are willing to learn new thinks

• You are able to perform several Systems Safety tasks in parallel

• You are a team player, organized and autonomous person with good communication skills

• Very good written and spoken English
