Airbus is looking for a Cabin Supplier Readiness Manager to join our end to end BFE (Cabin Buyer Furnished Equipment) department based in Bristol in the UK.
This team is responsible for managing the end to end development of the Cabin BFE starting with the Customers (Airlines) when the Cabin selection is done for a given Aircraft and working with the customer and supplier as part of the overall FCO (fulfil customer order) process.
In this newly created role, you would be accountable for one or more Cabin BFE suppliers to ensure the overall readiness of the supplier(s) to deliver on the requirements of Airbus and it's customers, driving transformation as required. The jobholder will work with key senior stakeholders in Airbus (Programs, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement Operations, Strategic Procurement, Marketing) bringing a clear view of the supplier situation into the discussions.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
Create and maintain a detailed understanding of the BFE suppliers maturity and readiness across multiple capabilities/disciplines (engineering, industrial, supply-chain management, capacity vs workload)
Ensure a structured multi-functional approach to drive the transformation of the supply chain
Provide a risk assessment on the Customer BFE cabin selection decision making bringing a clear view of the supplier readiness and influencing the decision making process
Be responsible to coordinate activities in the case of major supplier x-program / x-development issues
ABOUT YOU
Ability to lead teams, communicate effectively and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Experience in supplier management and development
Ability to drive change and transformation
