Airbus Commercial is looking for a Multidisciplinary Analysis & Optimization (MDAO) methods and tools specialist.

Within the Digital Design, Manufacturing and Services Programme of Airbus, the Modelling and Simulation (M&S) department is in charge of defining, developing and deploying new generation capabilities to support the development of next generation products and, when appropriate, improve practices of current programmes, in a very competitive environment.

The successful candidate will join the Multidisciplinary Analysis and Optimisation (MDAO) team within M&S. MDAO plays a central role in achieving the department's targets. MDAO will allow Airbus’ engineers to leverage all the potential of combining simulation capabilities, to enable the simulation and co-optimization of the most complex aeronautical systems in terms of the breadth of the concept and design spaces explored and speed of execution.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM 

• Lead the formalisation of the methodology associated to the different MDAO capabilities and contribute to the realisation of related learning resources

• Contribute to the definition, validation, deployment and support of MDAO capabilities working closely with relevant stakeholders within the programme

• Collect and analyse the business needs and support the clarification of stakeholder expectations

• Participate in Airbus' internal and external ecosystems on MDAO

• Contribute to the smooth and reliable linking of MDAO with its enablers: artificial intelligence, simulation process and data management, ontologies, and model based systems and product line engineering.

ABOUT YOU

• Experience in the definition, deployment or support of engineering methods and tools

• Knowledge of Multidisciplinary Analysis and Optimisation techniques and tools

• Good understanding of systems engineering and architecting principles

• Strong interest in the engineering of aerospace systems
