Job Description:

With focus on Health and Safety delivery and monitoring in customer facility, we are looking for:

A Materials and Processes Laboratory Technician (m/f)

Location: Filton, Bristol 

Contract: Full time, permanent. 37.5 hours per week

Duties

• Weekly target conditioning for each customer lab

• Monthly work place inspections for each customer lab

• Support resolving issues found during inspections

• Carrying out risk assessments

• Monitoring risk assessments statuses

• Labelling and photographing test specimens

• Writing test reports

• Reporting H&S incidents

• Supporting H&S incident resolution

• Running of mechanical testing

• Mechanical testing of coupons

Our requirements

• Completed a higher-level qualification in a relevant subject is desirable

• Experience within a 17025 accredited laboratory would be very beneficial

• Laboratory health and safety knowledge

• Knowledge of hazardous substances law and chemicals law, as well as materials and chemicals legislation (REACH and related legal areas) would be advantageous

• Safe handling of research and laboratory equipment as well as their processes in compliance with known and relevant legal regulations

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

• Independent and structured way of working

• Ability to work in a team, resilience, flexibility
