In order to support the Flight and Integration Test Centre, Airbus Operations is looking for a
Lab Test Means Design & Build Engineer (d/f/m)

We develop lab test means operated by testers and pilots to validate and integrate new aircraft systems. We cover all types of lab test means, from avionics to mechanical / physical test rigs, to virtual platforms.
We fulfill this mission thanks to a multinational department split over four sites (Hamburg, Bremen, Toulouse, Filton) and we build cooperation with the other Airbus divisions.
Based in Bremen, you will be in charge of the test means projects to facilitate test campaigns in the Cargo & High Lift Area.
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your tasks and responsibilities
You will design new test means and implement new evolutions/ upgrades made necessary due to new components or systems being integrated into Airbus aircrafts
You will tackle obsolescence and enhance the capacity of Test Means for the fleet - from A320 to A350 program, for all Cabin and Air systems
You will prepare benches to comply with current and future needs, such as massive data recording & analysis, standardization of configuration, bench cross connections to run projects like Connected Cabin
You will propose solutions to the testers and deliver on time, cost and on quality
Desired skills and qualifications
University degree in Engineering such as Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Informatic, Aircraft System Engineering, or equivalent
Several years of working experience in system design with a global technical approach
Experience in designing test modules and tools, as well as an ability to produce innovations in the area of digitalization, are needed
Experience in designing Test Means referring to VDE 0100
Basic knowledge in project management is required
Basic knowledge of IT networks (Skills on Data analysis, Knowledge of Modeling and Software Development are required)
A negotiation level of English and German is preferred
