COMPLETE M&P Engineer — Data Analysis - Bangalore Area

Context:

Within the scope of the Materials & Processes (M&P) engineering, our mission is to deliver various technologies from research to in-service and to make innovative materials fly. Details:

Your job is to support materials and manufacturing processes team by developing various data and statistical methodologies to understand the supplier performance, reduce physical tests and optimize processes. In this context, you support the definition of Airframe Data Analysis strategy, principles and concepts. You ensure the methods bring in more efficient processes and support in reducing the lead time for production ramp up.

Job scope:

The detailed responsibilities will be:

• To develop and mature various data analysis methods to challenge test results received from suppliers and also to monitor the trend and resolve process issues.
• To optimize various process parameters via simulation and DOE, statistical analysis especially new technologies under development in Materials Processes and Testing perimeter.
• To define, specify and validate methods for analysis to be implemented in the system.
• To identify the pain areas and resolve them using analytical methods and also support plant engineers to optimize the activities.
• To evaluate material related deviations from definition documents and support failure analysis for test cell, manufacturing and in service issues. 
• Practise project management by providing weekly/monthly reports, schedule, risk mitigation & monitoring the qualification activities.
• Adhere to Airbus procedures, process, and ways of working and develop self as an M&P Engineer.

Required Domain Expertise:

Graduate/Post Graduate Engineer (Metallurgy/Mechanical/Materials/Aerospace Engineering) with 3 to 5 yrs of experience in aerospace domain especially in data analysis, DOE, statistical methodologies etc.

Experience: 3 to 5 yrs.

Preferred Tools – Minitab, R, Python, JMP etc.

Required Technical Expertise:

Perform different Design of Experiments, Descriptive Statistical Analysis, Inferential Statistical Analysis, Predictive Analysis, Prescriptive Analysis, and Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA). Exposure to use of Coding tools and methods for analyzing data for Pattern Analysis and/or Data analysis in aerospace & aviation domain.

In-Depth knowledge on various data analysis methods such as regression, sensitivity analysis, DOE etc.

Overall Knowledge of Airbus Material and products would be added advantage. Knowledge of International Standards like SAE, ASTM, ISO, BS etc. Exposure to Materials and Processes used in aerospace industry. Technical Documentation (MS office tools, Project management tools, etc.). Strong stake holder management, liaising with internal and external customers, interactions with test laboratories and research centres. Good communication and presentation skills along with project management basics would be an added advantage.
