Job Description:
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Flight Simulator Engineer I to join our Aurora, CO flight training center.
Meet the team:
You will be part of a team who collaborates with diverse team of simulator manufacturers, the Airbus global training network, simulator technicians, and training instructors who ensure operational, reliability goals are met; and engineering solutions implemented on a wide variety of flight simulator equipment used for training by global airlines.
Your working environment:
Aurora is home to a state-of-the-art, 38,000-square-foot training complex. This is the second customized Airbus training facility in the U.S and hosts two A320 Family Level D Full Flight Simulators (FFS) and an A320neo FFS. At full capacity, the facility will operate six simulators to support our customers across the Americas.

Your challenges:
We run a 24-hour operation and each engineer is expected to work some nights throughout each month
Provide technical expertise during subjective and objective evaluations of flight simulators by the FAA.
Supports the organization, planning and coordination of engineers activities.
Oversee Master Qualification Test Guides (MQTGs) and their presentation to authorities.
Working with senior engineers, managers and the OEM, participates in engineering projects to develop skills and experience.
Monitors, actions and as assigned coordinates the escalation and subcontracting of engineering related DR work orders.
Supports engineering solutions with Obsolescence issues, equipment acceptance and modifications.
Your boarding pass:
Has skills and knowledge related to FAA 14 CFR Part 60 regulations and processes.
Understanding of computer simulation programming techniques, electronic and network theory.
Has experience in using and repairing electronic and computer equipment.
Familiarity with aircraft systems, aircraft dynamics and aircraft operations
Ability to properly use troubleshooting tools including Multimeters, Calipers, Torque wrenches and Oscilloscopes
Proficiency in C/C++, Linux and Pearl
Familiarity with Real Time Operating systems
Must be able to work well under pressure and tight timelines
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of FAA regulations to NSP and internal auditors.
Must be able to learn custom programs and debugging tools for flight simulator troubleshooting with minimum documentation or instruction.
Authorized to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship.
Salary range:
Salary range based on the required profile: $69,000.00 - $85,0000.00/year (including a variable part based on your performance). Information provided as an indication.
