Job Description:

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Compensation Manager to join our HR department. This is a hybrid position and can be based in Mobile, Herndon, Atlanta, Denver, or Wichita.

The Compensation Manager is responsible for administering, evolving and communicating market-competitive and proactive compensation strategies, plans and programs aligned with the overall Airbus Rewards philosophy to attract, motivate and retain a high-performing organization. This position collaborates closely with the Head of Compensation for Airbus Americas, Inc. in developing and implementing new or improved processes, programs and/or strategies.

Your challenges:

  • Partner with HR when a job evaluation is requested to ensure scope is effectively represented in the job description.
  • Perform market-based analyses on jobs and recommend compensation packages aligned with structure which are competitive in the external marketplace and internally equitable.
  • Present compensation recommendations to HR Business Partners.
  • Review and provide oversight on recommendations created by Compensation Analysts.
  • Evaluate current job structures and families; recommend appropriate career ladders for functional areas across the organization.
  • Educate managers and employees on compensation practices, philosophy and market-based approach.
  • Administer Airbus Group programs (Success Sharing, ESOP, LTIP, etc.) during the annual cycle.
  • Provide guidance on industry compensation practices and legal issues, assessing impact on the business.
  • Manage metrics to measure effectiveness and efficiency of Compensation programs and goals.
  • Administer salary review cycles (annually and ad-hoc) and wage progression increases for certain hourly populations.
  • Review changes in wages or salary ensuring conformance to organization policy.
  • Work with Compensation leadership to develop new or improve existing processes.
  • Support Compensation team with completing salary surveys (local and/or national) as needed.
  • Review and complete process documentation ensuring consistency of format, approach, and language.
  • Reviews, advises and updates internal policies and procedures and plan documents.

Your boarding pass:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, a related major or equivalent education and experience required.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of dynamic professional level compensation or related experience required.
  • Experience in job evaluation and classification, market pay analysis, compensation program administration and compensation data analysis experience required.
  • Compensation experience in a manufacturing organization is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in developing compensation structures preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Airbus organization, HR processes and contacts and experience working in a subsidiary a plus.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • CCP certification preferred.
  • Other HR certifications (e.g. CEBS) preferred.
