Wanted: Lead Engineer (Electrical Engineering)

Airbus Netherlands searches for its business Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) a Lead Engineer. These high end electronic racks are used to test satellite components and complete setups. As a Lead Engineer you hold key knowledge about these systems. You are able to specify requirements and draws up the design & development plan for a (sub)

system. Based on the requirements you negotiate specifications with customers and subcontractors.

The team

You will be working in a multidisciplinary environment. Collaborating with fellow engineers in different fields and the sales department. For some projects you will provide leadership for other you collaborate. In any case it is you who will make proposals and suggestions for the further development of the systems to the team.

           

What it takes

  • You have completed a technical, academic university education, supplemented with at least five years of working experience in Electrical Engineering.  
  • You have experience in constructive communication with customer and subcontractor.
  • You have strong communication and negotiation skills and great commercial awareness.
  • Your background is in electronics, preferably designing schematics and PCBs with FPGAs.
  • You are result-driven, pragmatic and proactive.
  • You are organized and capable of managing scope, costs, risks and people.
  • You will be, at least for 60% of your time, located in the Leiden facility.
  • You are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
