Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Web Editor to join our Communications Department based in Toulouse, France.

Your working environment:

Global capital of aeronautics and European capital for space research, Toulouse is a dynamic city in the southwest of France served by an international airport. Ideally located between the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic ocean and close to the Pyrenees mountains, it offers plenty of options for outdoor activities!

Your Challenges:

The main accountabilities of your mission are:

  • Produce, edit and publish web content for the Airbus’ Commercial Aircraft sections on the airbus.com corporate website, supporting the Company’s communications strategy.
  • Maximise impact through full 360 degree coordination / cooperation with all corporate Communications channels as Social Media, Print, TV…..
  • Propose and deploy innovative web formats to strengthen Airbus’ impact amongst relevant external audiences. Roll-out, animate and support inspiring, creative and impactful web content & campaigns in support of Airbus Commercial Aircraft communications objectives
  • Contribute to the positioning of the Airbus top management on airbus.com, respecting the corporate digital strategy.
  • Ensure the implementation of Airbus’ branding, style, and content guidelines across all Airbus Commercial Aircraft web accounts.
  • Coordinate external agencies & suppliers to define, deploy and follow-up on campaigns. Track impact.
  • Work closely with the Head of External Communications (GXA) to implement actionable SMART web and social media objectives for Commercial Aircraft topics. Establish an impact measurement framework for unleashing continuous analytics-based improvements.
  • Facilitate web digital knowledge-sharing across GXA and the wider Airbus Communications function, upskilling the teams.

The main deliverables for your mission include:

  • Support define and implement a web strategy in line with Commercial Aircraft communications objectives, in coordination with the External Communications (GX) leadership team and together with the group-wide web and social media team.
  • Benchmark best practices in support of the Airbus Commercial Aircraft external communications objectives.
  • Define and continuously improve a relevant KPI framework for the airbus.com corporate web account based on SMART objectives supporting the high-level external communications strategy. Make planning and content decisions based on informed data.
  • Measure and report the performance of key digital marketing campaigns, landing pages, webstories etc. Define, implement and analyse performance metrics,  assess return of investment and take lessons learnt from there - where appropriate.
  • Actively participate in Communications’ planning and governance meetings as part of the wider Communication team’s RADAR, thus contributing to maintaining an up-to-date calendar of planned external communications activities with special attention to your web contributions.
  • Support a constant benchmark of emerging web trends, tools, best practices and opinion leaders to drive continuous improvement.
  • Live-up to the objectives of the digital budget planning in GX; proactively anticipate issues, ensure adherence to OP.

Your Boarding Pass

  • Proven experience in corporate communications, with a specific focus on digital communications (web and social media), digital campaigning & platforms (> 2 years).
  • Track-record of orchestrating content & messages via various channels & media.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the latest web-editing tools as well as trends across industries; working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript (Drupal of advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Advertising (SEA)
  • Good “nose” for trending stories !
  • Ability to inspire, illustrate and simplify, i.e. translating complex topics into simple, intuitive and impactful content for general public consumption. Eagerness to convince, educate, influence and inspire.
  • Strong command of English (orally & in writing) to ensure autonomous production of quality written content and seamless interaction with international audiences. Proficiency of a second / third language is of advantage.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the aerospace industry and its associated external ecosystem and audiences.
  • Strong trust-building capabilities. Strong networker. Excellent people-relationship skills with both internal and external stakeholders. At ease working with all hierarchy levels.
