Medical Affairs Lead - Immunology & Respiratory (all gender)

The Opportunity

As Medical Affairs Lead you will have both, people leadership responsibility as well as therapeutic area responsibility. You are responsible for the development and implementation of the medical affairs strategy for assigned portfolio in alignment with overall therapeutic area objectives and for leading a team of (Senior) Medical Affairs Managers.

The Role

• You are responsible for developing the medical affairs strategy for assigned portfolio in alignment with overall therapeutic area objectives
• You monitor and evaluate therapeutic trends and opportunities in cooperation with local functions, global research & development as well as regional commercial organizations.
• You will implement strategy for scientific interactions with the medical community including key opinion leaders and patient advocacy groups (for PAGs in alignment and close collaboration with the local patient advocacy lead) and ensure its tactical execution.
• You support coordination of investigator led studies and research collaborations and facilitate publication of results in full accordance with Good Publication Practice.
• In close collaboration with the local Real-World Evidence generation lead: Support development and implementation of company-sponsored non-interventional studies as well as subsequent analysis and publication of (interim) study results.
• You serve as medical consultant to marketing, commercial and research project teams, providing input into promotional and educational materials for relevant therapeutic areas
• You provide team leadership and line management for (Senior) Medical Affairs Managers and develop strategy and plans for medical information exchange with key opinion leaders and patient advocacy groups (for PAGs in alignment and close collaboration with the local patient advocacy lead)
• You establish annual medical affairs budgets for assigned portfolio and actively manage & monitor periodic financial medical affairs forecasts
• You will work closely with Regional Medical Affairs, Global Medical Affairs, and Global Research & Development to coordinate and successfully implement local medical affairs activities.

Your Skills and Experience:

• University degree in Medicine (MD or equivalent)
• Minimum of 9 years' experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Prior experience in providing medical support to products or devices in one of CSL's therapeutic areas (ideally immunology), including KOL development, investigator-initiated clinical trials, publications, and educational programs highly preferred.
• Prior people leadership experience desirable
• Prior clinical experience highly desirable
• Experience in working in international or global teams
• Strong Medical Affairs background
