Head of Finance - Czechia & Slovakia

You are responsible for accounting, business support, management and strategic support to the organization, HR administration, key user for implementing SAP S4/HANA. You will ensure that all financial accounting & controlling activities are conducted in a manner consistent and compliant with all short– and long-term business objectives, global finance policies and local statutory requirements.

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Maintains the accounting system and ensures appropriate tax and financial reporting filed in compliance with local laws and regulations. Close collaboration with Group Finance and the Shared Service Center in Liverpool ensuring accurate and timely bi-annual statutory accounts are prepared in accordance with IFRS and CSL Group Finance requirements and annual local accounts are compliant with Czech and Slovak tax and accounting standards.
• Provides analysis of sales, profitability, and cash flows to support the management team making sensible and informed business decisions.
• Supports Sales organization in sales and order forecasting, reporting and analysis, and manages regular reviews with the commercial team.
• Responsible for Receivables Management processes and setting credit limits for the customers according to group guidelines and ensures a regular health check of business partners.
• Responsible for understanding and ensuring compliance with all tax related reporting requirements to local authorities.
• Reviews and provides input on new investment proposals, assisting in the development of business cases, and coordinating with Global Finance teams to obtain approvals.
• Supports the preparation of the strategic plan, annual budget, and forecasts through close coordination with local management and global and regional finance teams.
• Ensures productive relationships with external business partners and contractors and takes care that proper legal agreements in conjunction with outside counsel are in place: internal/external auditors, outside attorneys, banks / financial institutions, office landlord, warehouse landlord, external tax and payroll specialists and other financial consultants.
• Coordinates the purchase of equipment (Capex, Lease) and monitors costs. Coordinates implementation of local and global IT and Business Intelligence projects. Establishes and controls running of all back-office functions (absence and leave, payroll, accounts payable, travel policies, reporting, purchase orders etc.)

Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting and/or Finance. A master’s degree and/or public accounting certification preferred. Czech and English fluent.
• Minimum 5 of experience in dealing with accounting, tax and controlling matters preferably with management responsibility in pharmaceutical companies with matrix organization. Experience in working with external auditors is required.
• Requested to travel within the region (20% of time).
