Job Summary

Spectrum Health Medical Group is seeking an OBGYN to work in beautiful Fremont, Michigan. Join this thriving practice, working with three other OBGYN's and two CNM’s who are all dedicated to providing excellent evidence-based care to a rural and underserved community. This practice is supported by a robust Women’s Health Service Line through Spectrum Health that includes maternal fetal medicine, gynecology oncology, urogynecology, sexual health, and menopause services. You will have a good mix of obstetrics and gynecologic surgery with access to excellent robotic surgery technology! Office space is located in the hospital and offers patients services such as social work services, a lab, and physician performed ultrasound! Spectrum Health uses Epic EMR.

Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Hospital is a critical access hospital with a busy Labor and Delivery Service! Our providers deliver 550+ babies per year, plus a large gynecology volume! Enjoy working as an employed provider, with knowledgeable practice management professionals assisting in day to day operations and the resources and referral base of the larger Spectrum Health system!

Essential Functions
  • Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.
  • Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.
  • Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.
  • Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.
  • Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.
  • Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.
  • Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient/family advocate.
  • Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.

    Actively works with Spectrum Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.

Qualifications
  • Required Bachelor's Degree
  • LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
  • LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 120 Days required
  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association If required by specialty or stress test performed 120 Days required
