This job requires flexibility, reliability and organization.
- Safely picks up & delivers various documents, mail, packages, lab specimen, equipment, materials, supplies and other items from appropriate locations in a timely manner.
- Abides by all traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and training. Represents Corewell Health in a professional manner upholding our core values of compassion, collaboration, courage and curiosity.
- Follows appropriate protocol and procedures for accident/incident occurrences. Follow guide books outlined in each vehicle and notify leadership immediately.
- Interacts with clients in a professional manner providing excellent customer service. Relays client service problems to the attention of supervisor.
- Responsible for maintaining and completing daily log.
- Ensures vehicle is ready for the following route by filling up the gas tank and returning keys and equipment to designated area. Keep vehicles clean, organized and prepared for the next driver to utilize. Advise Supervisor of any repair needs.
- Utilizes technology to best provide services to customers. Responds to urgent dispatch requests based on business and customer needs.
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be 21 years of age Required
- Must have excellent driving record Required
- LIC-Chauffeur License - State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- LIC-Driver's License - State of Michigan Upon Hire required
