- Provide recreation therapy to enhance independence and community integration and teach leisure time activities in the home and the community.
- Provide education to enhance recreation skills and attitudes.
- Assess and treat the following areas cognition, social skills, emotional needs, leisure attitudes and barriers, spiritual well being, pre- and post-injury leisure interests and attitudes.
- Attends team conferences for assigned clients to effectively report on client status and progress.
- Serves as a clinical resource to peers, team members and client/family. Participates in quality improvement and program development activities.
- Required Bachelor's Degree Therapeutic Recreation
- Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Therapeutic Recreation or related degree (Reed City RNC, Corewell Health South)
- 3 years of relevant experience in long term care or rehabilitation Preferred
- May work in homes, community, schools, job sites, and clinics; driving distances up to 60 miles from office (based on SH entity) Required
- CRT-Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Certified (CTRS) - NCTRC National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification Reed City RNC only Upon Hire required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
- CRT-Activity Director, Certified (ADC) - NCCAP National Certification Council for Activity Professionals preferred
