- Inspects sites and plans jobs, material procurement, install, repair, replacement or modification, for commercial plumbing systems or other specialty systems.
- Troubleshoot and analyze faulty systems/plumbing components, and repair or replace as necessary.
- Performs Preventative Maintenance on all plumbing systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints or other mechanical drawings to determine materials needed and job procedures for a project, also determine if special tools or equipment required.
- Prioritizes work load and responds to all emergency plumbing calls.
- Completes daily activity paperwork as well as tracks time and material, for projects or work orders.
- Field checks construction projects to ensure that work performed is installed per design and meets proper code requirements as well as Beaumont Health standards.
- Assists contractors and construction plumbers with system shutdowns.
- Knows the appropriate use of hand and power tools that are used in the plumbing trade.
- Follows safe work practices and prevents working in unsafe work conditions.
- Must be eligible for overtime status. Is able to work reasonable extended hours to accomplish priority repairs and to fill in for disaster, vacation or illness coverage.
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Continuing education degree
- 5 years of relevant experience Required
- Healthcare facility experience Preferred
- LIC-Plumber - STATE_MI State of Michigan required
- LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan required
