Job Summary

Provides daily support with problem solving and resource allocation, clarifying root causes and driving cross functional problem solving in the team as a whole. Responsibilities for cost-effective utilization of employees and other resources while maintaining high standards of quality, service and satisfaction. Oversees and leads activities of clinical staff.

Making sure all team members has completed daily task, complete audits, oversee medication logs, working with preceptor, and monthly QC check, A1C kits checks.

Essential Functions

  • Exhibits understanding and promotes the practice of safety and infection control standards, and ensures employee conformance.
  • Proficient in MDI, and able to ensure employee conformance to standard work and daily lead metrics.
  • Provides schedule management (provider care team lead) for ensuring patients see the right provider at the right time. Ensures patient flow is maintained.
  • Responsible for daily improvement and care team tracking center.
  • Ensures Electronic Medical Record chart prep and accuracy (health maintenance).
  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow. Issues oral and written instructions. Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Supports business metrics for the practice.
  • Assists Practice Manager with the monitoring of time and attendance records and payroll for staff. Notifies Practice Manager of any staffing shortages and/or needs. Assists with coverage of those shortages. Assists Practice Manager with daily staffing of clinical positions at assigned location. Arranges coverage for sick call-ins, vacations, leaves, and other time off.
  • Performs first level employee relations to help resolve issues and maintain employee schedules. Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances with assistance of Practice Manager.

Qualifications

  • Required High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred Associate's Degree
  • Successful completion of a competency based orientation program Required
  • 5 years of relevant experience Experience working in a physician practice or healthcare setting Required
  • Experience working as a medical assistant, paramedic, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN) Required
  • Experience using EPIC Required
  • Experience as an EPIC SuperUser Preferred
  • Experience in Kaizen Culture/Standard Work Preferred
  • CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA) - AAMA American Association of Medical Assistants Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CCMA) - NHA National Healthcareer Association Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NCMA) - NCCT National Center for Competency Testing Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NRCMA) - NAHP National Association for Health Professionals Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT-Medical Assistant, Registered (RMA) - AMT American Medical Technologists Upon Hire required Or
  • LIC-Paramedic License - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
