Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

We are looking for a talented lawyer to join the Amazon Legal team supporting Amazon Leo. You will be embedded with the Leo business, with a focus on supporting commercial customer and partner deals across EMEA.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about technology, enjoys being continually challenged, and demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.

You will support Leo commercial business development and sales efforts in EMEA. Legal support will include structuring, drafting, and negotiating a range of agreements (e.g., agreements to sell services and customer terminals), and counseling the business team on legal issues related to Leo’s customer and partner contracts. The successful candidate will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.

Basic Qualifications:

- License to practice law in Europe, US or other common law jurisdiction
- 2+ years of post-qualification legal experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in transactional work, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts or equivalent
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Experience with problem solving and disruptive innovation, developing technology programs and working across customer organizations
- Experience counseling clients on deals in EMEA
- Experience in the mobility, telecom, or aviation sectors
