Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A - National Hospital Services
DaVita is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and results-driven Senior Financial Analyst to join our National Hospital Services Group (HSG) FP&A team. This role reports to the Manager of FP&A and will own key recurring planning, forecasting, reporting, and business-performance processes for the HSG business. The Senior Financial Analyst will provide hands-on leadership across monthly financial results, treatment-volume forecasting, revenue forecasting, operational reviews, and the annual budget process. This is a highly visible role with significant interaction with the Senior Director of Finance and regular opportunities to present analyses and recommendations to the Vice President and Group Vice President of HSG. The HSG FP&A team also presents to broader Finance leadership, and the data and insights developed by this role support decisions and reporting that reach the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. The ideal candidate will be a strong FP&A practitioner who can independently manage detailed models and recurring processes, identify and explain key business drivers, and improve the quality and efficiency of team deliverables. The candidate should be a dependable partner to Finance and Operations leaders and be comfortable guiding work through ambiguous or technically challenging processes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Insights:
- Own key monthly financial reporting and variance-analysis processes, validate treatment-volume, revenue, operating-income, and run-rate drivers, and translate results into concise commentary and presentation materials for HSG operating reviews and Finance leadership.
Forecasting and Modeling:
- Own recurring treatment-volume and revenue-per-treatment forecast models, including model roll-forward, Essbase refreshes, assumption development, new and lost business updates, bridge analyses, stakeholder summaries, preliminary projections, and final forecast recommendations.
Budgeting and Planning:
- Lead significant components of the annual budget process, including methodology alignment, model and mapping updates, Anaplan administration, source-data validation, review cycles, and final documentation.
Business Partnership and Executive Presentations:
- Serve as a trusted partner to HSG FP&A, Operations, field finance, Revenue Accounting, and other stakeholders by resolving complex data questions, explaining performance drivers, and presenting analyses and recommendations to senior HSG and broader Finance leaders.
Process Leadership and Improvement:
- Independently manage critical deliverables within the monthly business-day calendar, anticipate dependencies and roadblocks, establish review points, improve recurring models and workflows, and communicate status and risks to leadership.
Team Support and Technical Capability:
- Provide guidance and quality review for analyst-level work and use advanced Excel, Hyperion Essbase, Anaplan, Tableau, SharePoint, and other financial tools to produce accurate, decision-ready analysis.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or a related analytical role, with a preference for healthcare or multi-site operations experience
- Demonstrated experience owning recurring forecasts, variance analysis, management reporting, and annual budgeting processes
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling, and large-data-file management
- Experience with Hyperion Essbase and Anaplan strongly preferred; Tableau or comparable reporting-tool experience is helpful
- Strong analytical judgment with the ability to identify drivers, validate outputs, and communicate clear conclusions
- Strong project management, written communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive deliverables and operate independently in a fast-paced environment
