Job Description

Want to help build the future of how Egypt shops, moves, and gets things delivered? Amazon's operations in Egypt are growing fast and we're looking for a bold, curious attorney to grow with us.

If you love untangling hard problems, working shoulder-to-shoulder with builders, and being the go-to lawyer who makes big ideas happen the right way, this role was made for you. We're customer-obsessed, we move fast, and we have fun doing it.

As Corporate Counsel for WW Operations, based in Cairo, you'll be the primary lawyer behind our fulfillment, logistics, and last-mile delivery teams in Egypt including some of the most exciting frontiers in the business: quick commerce and micro-mobility. This is a chance to be part of both a regional and global team, with real opportunities to collaborate, grow as a trusted advisor in region, and shape work that matters well beyond Egypt's borders.

Key job responsibilities
• Act as the trusted legal partner across a broad canvas — environment, health and safety, compliance, transportation, last-mile and micro-mobility operations, and sustainability.
• Advise on new delivery models, including quick commerce and micro-mobility, often writing the playbook as the regulatory landscape takes shape.
• Guide business and tech teams through regulatory, privacy, and data protection frameworks (including Egypt's data protection framework and cross-border data).
• Partner on emerging technology and artificial intelligence to drive strategic improvements.
• Collaborate across business, compliance, finance, HR, PR, technology, the wider legal team, and Public Policy.
• Engage directly with regulators and think several moves ahead on pre-litigation disputes.
• Share expertise through regular training that levels up the teams you support.

A day in the life
No two days will look the same. You could start your morning helping shape a new quick commerce model or exploring how to bring micro-mobility services to market. By midday, you might be working with product and tech teams on privacy, data protection or the responsible use of AI.

Your afternoon could take you into a conversation with regulators, preparing for a potential dispute or helping teams make sense of new regulations and what they mean for the business.

And in between all of this, you'll be building relationships, asking the right questions, spotting risks early and finding ways to turn complex legal and regulatory challenges into practical solutions.

At its heart, this is a role for someone who wants to be close to the action — working alongside the people building the business, not just advising from the sidelines. You'll help shape what's next, make sense of what's changing and enable ambitious ideas to become reality, responsibly and confidently.

This is an individual contributor role based in Cairo. Some domestic and international travel may be required.

About the team
You'll join a team that speaks candidly and welcomes bold ideas. While this role is rooted in Egypt, you'll team up with colleagues across our global WW Operations legal community to shape projects that matter well beyond our borders. Come build something you're proud of.

Basic Qualifications:

- 5+ years of post bar admission legal experience
- Licensed to practice Law in Egypt, or a common law jurisdiction
- Fluent Arabic
- Excellent English, both spoken and written

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Experience in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive)
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
- Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines
- Experience advising on data privacy, technology, or AI / emerging-technology matters
