Job Description

Are you passionate about helping customers solve complex technical challenges? Do you thrive at the intersection of business strategy and technology? As a Solutions Architect at Amazon, you will partner directly with customers to design and deliver solutions that drive meaningful business outcomes. You will work across a broad range of technologies, translating business objectives into well-architected technical strategies that are secure, reliable, cost-optimized, and built to scale.

This role offers the opportunity to serve as a trusted technical advisor, guiding customers through critical decisions around platform adoption, migration, and modernization. You will bring both depth and breadth of knowledge to every engagement, balancing short-term needs with long-term architectural goals. If you are a curious, self-starter who enjoys collaborating across teams and making a tangible impact on how customers build for the future, we want to hear from you.

Key job responsibilities
- Design end-to-end customer solutions that address complex business and technical requirements, ensuring architectures are extensible, reusable, secure, reliable, and performant.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer leadership, understanding their business context and influencing their longer-term technology strategy to align short-term decisions with long-term outcomes.
- Lead technical solution discussions by diving into design choices, best practices, and use cases with customer teams, proactively identifying risks and presenting considered options with clear trade-off analysis.
- Develop and deliver thought leadership content such as presentations, workshops, blog posts, and reference architectures that educate customers on technology strategy and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams including sales, business development, professional services, and engineering to accelerate solution adoption and ensure delivered solutions create measurable customer impact.

A day in the life
You will start your day reviewing customer architectures and preparing for a solution design session where you will walk a customer team through trade-offs between scalability and cost optimization. After that, you might join a cross-functional working session with engineering and professional services to refine a migration approach. In the afternoon, you could be building a reusable reference architecture or presenting best practices at a customer workshop. Throughout the day, you will balance deep technical work with strategic conversations that shape how customers build on our platform.
