Job Description
As Senior Manager of Solutions Architecture for AWS Public Sector Mexico, you will lead a team of Solutions Architects who work side-by-side with government and institutional leaders to turn complex technical challenges into real outcomes. You will own the technical strategy for the portfolio: setting priorities, building executive relationships, and making sure AWS shows up with the right architecture for every mission-critical program.
This isn't a behind-the-scenes role. You will sit across the table from CIOs, CTOs, and CDOs at federal agencies and state governments. You will represent AWS at government forums and industry events. You will push our product teams to build what Mexico's public sector actually needs — from data sovereignty to local compliance to AI-ready infrastructure. And you will build and grow the team that makes it all happen.
We're looking for someone who has done this before: led technical teams, earned trust with senior government stakeholders, and delivered cloud and AI strategies that moved the needle. Someone who writes and speaks with authority on where technology is going — and brings others along. Someone who knows that the best architectures start with listening to the customer, not with a slide deck.
Key job responsibilities
- Be the technical executive sponsor for our most strategic public sector accounts and programs in Mexico — the person our customers trust to solve their hardest problems.
- Develop direct, lasting partnerships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and Directors of IT across federal agencies, state governments, public universities, and healthcare institutions.
- Speak at government technology forums, industry conferences, and executive events across Mexico and Latin America. Write and publish thought leadership on cloud, AI, and digital government.
- Set and execute the strategy that moves Mexico's public sector toward cloud-native and AI-first architectures — with measurable results.
- Partner with Sales leadership to jointly own pipeline and win rate for the Mexico Public Sector segment.
- Bring the voice of Mexico's government customers into AWS product and engineering teams — data sovereignty, regulatory compliance, local infrastructure.
- Coordinate across Sales, Professional Services, Partners, and Training to make sure the entire organization moves together for Public Sector Mexico.
