The role ensures that the customer portal experience is stable, user‑friendly, and aligned with CPQ backend logic, pricing rules, and order processes. Working closely with sales, CPQ teams, IT, and stakeholders, this role focuses on portal setup, issue resolution, enhancements, and continuous improvement to support seamless customer interaction with CPQ solutions.

Job Responsibilities

Customer Portal Configuration & Maintenance

  • Configure and maintain CPQ customer portals, including product views, configuration flows, and user access.
  • Ensure portal configurations accurately reflect CPQ products, rules, pricing logic, and availability.
  • Maintain content, layouts, forms, and guided selling flows within the customer portal.
  • Implement approved changes and enhancements in line with CPQ governance.

User Experience & Functional Support

  • Ensure an intuitive and consistent customer and sales user experience across portal journeys.
  • Troubleshoot portal‑related issues impacting configuration, pricing display, or submission flows.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert for customer portal behavior and dependencies.

Integration & Data Alignment

  • Ensure seamless interaction between customer portals and CPQ backend systems.
  • Validate correct data handover between portal, CPQ, and downstream systems where applicable.
  • Support alignment of portal logic with Sales BOM (SBOM) and quotation outputs.

Testing, Validation & Quality Assurance

  • Perform functional testing and regression testing for portal changes and releases.
  • Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for portal enhancements.
  • Ensure portal updates do not negatively impact existing CPQ configurations or order flows.

Issue Resolution & Operational Support

  • Analyze and resolve portal‑related issues raised by customers, sales, or internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with CPQ, IT, and platform teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform root‑cause analysis and support permanent fixes.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Maintain portal configuration documentation, user guidance, and support notes.
  • Create and update how‑to guides, FAQs, and release notes related to portal functionality.
  • Support knowledge transfer to internal teams and stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve portal usability, performance, and adoption.
  • Proactively highlight gaps, risks, or enhancement opportunities in portal design or flow.
  • Contribute to standardization and best practices for CPQ customer portals.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Digital Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 5–8 years of experience in customer portal management, CPQ support, or digital sales platforms.
  • Experience working with CPQ tools, customer portals, or sales configurators.
  • Strong understanding of configuration flows, pricing visibility, and customer journey design.
  • Experience supporting Configure‑to‑Order (CTO) and/or Engineer‑to‑Order (ETO) environments is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of CPQ integrations and data handover concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional and global teams.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
