Business Development Specialist – IQVIA Language Solutions

The opportunity

IQVIA Language Solutions is building the multilingual operating layer for global life sciences—bringing together healthcare intelligence, AI-enabled workflows, specialist human expertise and the reach of IQVIA. As Business Development Specialist, you will be an energetic and proactive member of the commercial team, focused on creating new opportunities across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, CRO and healthcare customers. You will research target accounts, connect with prospective customers, qualify interest and support opportunities as they progress through the sales process. This is a hands-on role for someone who is curious, motivated and excited to learn.

What you will do

• Research target companies, market segments and key stakeholders to identify potential opportunities.
• Generate interest through thoughtful outbound outreach, campaigns, networking and follow-up.
• Qualify prospective customers by learning about their needs, priorities and current approach to multilingual content.
• Build and maintain an active pipeline, keeping customer and opportunity information accurate in the CRM.
• Schedule and support introductory meetings, discovery discussions, presentations and follow-up activities.
• Work with senior business development colleagues to progress qualified opportunities through the sales process.
• Help prepare account plans, proposals, presentations and other customer-facing materials.
• Develop a strong understanding of IQVIA Language Solutions, our customers and the life sciences workflows we support.
• Collaborate with Presales, Account Management, Marketing, Delivery and other IQVIA teams to create a positive customer experience.
• Bring energy, ideas and market feedback to a fast-evolving commercial team.

What you bring

• Early-career experience in business development, sales, account management, customer service or another commercial role; experience in healthcare, life sciences, language services, localization or B2B services is helpful but not essential.
• Genuine enthusiasm for building relationships, starting conversations and creating new business opportunities.
• Curiosity about healthcare, languages, technology and AI, with a strong desire to learn.
• Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive, organized approach and the persistence to follow through.
• Comfort working toward activity goals and commercial targets in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to ask questions, seek feedback and learn from experienced colleagues.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools is helpful.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are an advantage.
