The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing crisis situations and mitigating risk for large and fast-moving global organizations. This senior communications manager will demonstrate strong ownership of the programs they’ve run, an exceptional bias for action, and extensive direct media relations experience. This person is an experienced storyteller capable of translating complex technical concepts into terms that people across the world can understand. A strong candidate will show a knack for being ahead of the next news cycle, have earned the trust of senior leaders, and have consistently demonstrated an ability to make high-judgment decisions, while acting quickly.

Key job responsibilities
This senior communications manager will partner closely with technical, legal, and business teams across AWS and provide strategic counsel to senior leaders in high-profile situations.
